By accessing or using CalmParent ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CalmParent provides AI-generated parenting guidance and scripts for common childhood situations. Our service:

• Generates age-appropriate parenting scripts based on research-backed methodologies
• Provides guidance for children ages 0-6 years
• Offers emergency, urgent, and normal response modes
• Saves your generated scripts for future reference

3. User Accounts

To use CalmParent, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
• Provide accurate, current information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
• Be responsible for all activities under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use CalmParent only for lawful purposes. You may NOT:

• Use the service for any harmful or dangerous purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or create derivative works
• Share your account credentials with others
• Input false information to manipulate our AI responses
• Use our service to harm or endanger any child
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

5. Subscription and Payment

CalmParent offers various subscription plans:

• Free Trial: 7 days with unlimited access, no credit card required
• Monthly Plan: $9.90/month, billed monthly
• Yearly Plan: $99/year, billed annually (saves $20)

Payment Terms

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• You can cancel anytime from your account settings
• Refunds available within 30 days of purchase
• Price changes will be communicated 30 days in advance
• Failed payments may result in service suspension

6. Intellectual Property

CalmParent and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by CalmParent Inc. and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The scripts generated for you may be saved and used for your personal parenting needs, but may not be redistributed commercially.

7. Limitation of Liability

CalmParent provides educational guidance only. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CalmParent shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues. Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the past 12 months.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. We never collect personal information about your children and use industry-standard security measures to protect your data.

9. Service Availability

While we strive for 99.9% uptime, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to CalmParent. We may need to perform maintenance, updates, or address technical issues that temporarily affect service availability. We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings. We may terminate or suspend your account for violations of these Terms, illegal activity, or non-payment. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases, but certain provisions of these Terms will survive termination.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or through our service, and continued use constitutes acceptance of modified Terms. We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco, California.
